Le Seuil de Mazeyres 2011
Management: Alain Moueix
Technical Manager: Laurent Nougaro / Ludovic Guibert
Weather Conditions During the Vintage
After a mild, dry winter, budbreak occurred early—two weeks ahead of schedule. Summer quickly took the place of spring. Overall temperatures were above seasonal averages, and the weather was dry. Flowering began just as early as budbreak and proceeded very smoothly. On June 26 and 27, temperatures exceeded 40°C, causing sunscald on some grapes. July and August were overcast, but the vines maintained their growth lead. The early harvest benefited from a particularly favorable September.

Tasting
Le Seuil de Mazeyres The 2011 vintage is a ruby red with a slight orange hue. The light, airy nose first reveals notes of blond tobacco and dried flowers, then develops into spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is long and refined, supported by well-balanced tannins. The texture is silky.
