VINTAGES
Château Mazeyres 2012
Management: Alain Moueix
Technical Manager: Jean-Michel Bernard / Ludovic Guibert
Weather Conditions During the Vintage
Spring was cold and rainy. The vines got off to a late start, and flowering took place under difficult conditions. July was exceptionally cool but dry in the second half of the month. Warm weather set in during August, with a heat wave beginning after the 15th. September felt like summer, and autumn didn’t make its appearance until the very last few days of the month.

Tasting
The color is deep. The nose, exceptionally delicate, reveals notes of licorice and cloves against a backdrop of honeyed gingerbread. The palate is very enveloping. The tannic structure is soft with a refined texture. The wine displays a well-structured firmness combined with a generous texture. The finish is long, warm, and elegant, with a lovely hint of fresh fruit.
