VINTAGES
Château Mazeyres 2014
Management: Alain Moueix
Technical Manager: Jean-Michel Bernard / Ludovic Guibert
Weather Conditions During the Vintage
The season got off to a good start with early budbreak. Flowering took place during a dry and sunny June. The summer was more chaotic, cool, and stormy. The vines fell behind schedule, and veraison stretched out over a long period. Beginning in late August, a particularly hot spell set in and lasted long enough to result in an unusually mild late season. Daily temperature ranges were significant and favorable for the ripening of the seeds and skins. As the weather remained dry, the berries developed good concentration.

Tasting
The color is purple. The initial nose is pure and airy, with notes of cherry, strawberry, violet, and thyme. As it breathes, the minerality comes through, hinting at a silky wine. Very smooth from the first sip, it develops on the palate with fine, well-integrated tannins paired with crisp acidity. The finish is long and lively. The overall sensation of freshness leaves an impression of a vibrant and harmonious wine.
