Weather conditions of the vintage The 2020 vintage is a vintage of contrasts.
The winter was unusually rainy. Spring was hot and humid, almost tropical.
The mildew appreciated a lot. The early flowering took place in a variable
way depending on the grape varieties, the terroirs and the weather at the
time. Then, just before summer, the rain stopped to give way to dry and rather
temperate weather until veraison approached. From there, the heat,
sometimes very strong, dominated the period. The thunderstorms in mid
August were needed and allowed the vines to continue their cycle until the
harvest.Sometimes irregular flowering and extremely dry conditions gave rather low
yields in most situations.Harvested early, the grapes were ripe and give generous wines.
