Weather conditions
The winter of 2016-2017 was very lacking in water. The first half of the season was cold and the ending had very mild temperatures that promoted early budding. The beginning of the spring remained mild, and growth began. On the nights of 27 and 28 April the temperature fell to -6°C in some areas, creating significant frost. 57% of the Château Mazeyres plots were badly damaged by this brutal change in the weather. After this difficult period, warm and dry conditions remained in place throughout the spring, causing major water stress throughout the vineyards. Significant rainfall from 25 June onwards once again significantly changed the weather landscape. The summer was more stable with a dry and cool climate. Veraison was early and rapid. Rain in early September, given what had come before, allowed the skins to fully ripen.

Tasting notes
A beautifully bright colour. Juicy and fresh on the nose with intense black fruit aromas. The very expressive fruity dimension continues on the palate, before developing into toasted notes. A soft and smooth texture supported by refreshing tension. A refined, lingering finish.
